I'm not sure what I say...I live in the Heartland but was basically brought up on the west coast, how about you?

1.  Ben Franklin once published a book called "The Drinker's Dictionary" with 200 different terms to describe being drunk.  They included things ranging from "He's seen the devil" to "juicy."

2.  Boardwalks didn't get their name because they're wooden boards you walk on.  They're named after the guy who came up with the idea to set up the first one in Atlantic City, New Jersey in the 1870s:  Alexander Boardman.

3.  Mosquitoes like biting people with type O blood more than any other blood type.  Other things that attract them are sweat . . . having alcohol in your bloodstream . . . being pregnant . . . and wearing black, dark blue, or red.

4.  Pumbaa from "The Lion King" was the first character to break wind in a Disney movie.

Who Could Use A Couple Thousand?

What would you do with $2,018?  What would you do with $30,000?  There are a few things that come to mind when I think about what I would do with that kind of extra cash.  Buy a new vehicle, go on a great trip, or maybe just pay some bills. Here's the bad news, I CAN'T win, but you CAN!  Starting Monday, listen for the keyword given at 7a, 9a, 1p, 3p, and 5p and then text it to 67760.  $2,018 will be given away daily and a grand prize of $30,000.  For more information click here!

What's the news that gets to you.

All kinds of different stories making the news these days. Away from the political noise of "he said, she said" stuff, which is good theatrics, but I wish they would get something done about coming to a common goal of making this world a better place to live. Anyway.. I see, Toys For Us is shutting down. The blame is being put on Wal-Mart and Amazon. I didn't realize Toys For Us had been around 70 years. I wonder where the idea for Toys For Us came from. there were a lot of new ideas put into action after World War II. Maybe, Toys For Us was one of them. As a parent you, like your children grow out of the store. Seems like they couldn't get the last couple of generations to take their children there and make purchases. Did you hear about the dog that wound up in Japan, instead of Kansas City? Seems an airline passenger was traveling. She got to K.C., but her dog wound up in Japan, while another dog...yup you guessed it, was supposed to go to Japan and wound up ...

Number 25

Blake Shelton's latest release "I'll Name the Dogs" has just become his 25th #1 of his career.  Like the many of previous 24, its a great representation of the light-hearted upbeat songs that fans of all ages can enjoy.  Blake is one of those artists that can connect with fans of any age group.  Whether it be my parents in their upper 60s, or my 7 year-old daughter who thinks he is so funny.  This was never more evident than last spring when my parents and my family all went to watch him in concert.  He kept everyone, young and old, engaged and put on one of the best shows I have ever seen. You can check Blake out tonight in the season finale of "The Voice" and read more about his latest accomplish in this article on our website. David
