The Top Ten Ways We Slack Off at Work

We'll as usual another busy day on the Morning Show...time to take it easy...

According to a new survey, the average person spends 50 minutes a day slacking off at work.  42% of people said they do it because their job is too easy, and 34% said they just get bored.

This week was one of the biggest slack-off times of the year, because everyone's still easing back into work after the holidays.  According to the survey, here are the ten most common ways we slack off . . .

 1.  Browsing the Internet.

 2.  Checking personal emails.

 3.  Texting.

 4.  Browsing social media.

 5.  Leaving your desk to just walk around for a while.

 6.  Online shopping.

 7.  Dealing with errands, like paying bills online.

 8.  Eating lunch at your desk.  (???)  Isn't that kind of the OPPOSITE of slacking off?

 9.  Daydreaming while you just stare blankly at your computer screen.

 10.  Planned toilet breaks.  Other ways we slack off include doodling in meetings . . . hanging out in the office kitchen, or at the water cooler . . . and pretending to work when you're actually playing an online game.

I had no idea there were so many choices....

Winter storm

Are you a little amused by the television wags and their coverage of the winter storm battering the east coast? I realize there's hardships with such a storm, but what about us?   What is it we've been putting up with? 75 degrees and sunny skies?  Catch Steve, afternoons 3-7 on KZ-100

melting / las vegas

The Beach Boys had a song titled "The Warmth of he Sun". Seems to be the mantra in getting this snow and ice off the roads. You may want to catch a part of the Grammies this weekend on CBS. Mixed in with the hip-hop music will be Eric Church, Maren Morris and Brothers Osborne with a song dedicated to the victims of the Las Vegas massacre. On that subject of the Las Vegas tragedy, it seems like multiple groups are keeping information from the public. I've read that advance notice may have been known by some public and private groups. Hmmm?

Let it snow

The National Weather Service is talking snow for KZ Country. It's about time! This winter we haven't gotten one of those storms where the snow starts off and becomes vicious with northeast winds whipping it around. This may be our "opportunity". Here's a few thoughts:  for the home, make sure you've got enough food on hand, in case you have to hunker down, keep the shovel and salt ready for digging out; got pets?, keep them safe, keep yourself safe, know where your children are, stay warm...this will last only a couple of days; for work, make sure your you've got some food with you, in case you get stuck, have a blanket in your car, take any medicines you need with you (in case you wind up staying an'extra long time, take it in stride; for driving, make sure you've got enough gas, you've got a blanket, shovel, scraper in your vehicle. That's not a complete list, but it should help you get started. Stay tuned to KZ-100  for the la
